How to Build a Membership Site
One thing that I have quite a bit of experience with is building membership sites. Paid membership sites can make a lot of money if you provide specialized knowledge in a well-packaged format. Membership sites provide a dependable income stream each month because members pay a recurring fee to maintain access.
Start Immediately
Too many people wait until they have created a massive amount of content before releasing their membership site. That's not totally necessary as you just have to get started. The longer you wait the harder it is to get yourself to complete the content. If you get subscribers paying right away not only do you make money up front, but you also have the motivation to continue due to the return on investment from your time.
Free Section
You will see most membership sites include something for free. This can be either a free section of their site with basic material or it can be with a free trial period. I like the free trial period myself. Give the user seven days to explore your premium content to see if it is something he would be interested in and if not then at least you have a lead that you can market to in the future.
