In my previous post I talked about why you should use analytics on your site and why I think Google is the best solution out there. Now that you know Google is the cream of the crop, how are you going to go about learning all of the cool features Google has for you to take advantage of? My recommendation is to go through their Google Analytics training classes.

The first things that you will learn are:

Introduction: What Google Analytics can do for your business, how it works, how often the data is updated, and how to set your data sharing preferences.

Interface Navigation: How to set your date ranges, how to graph by time units, how to compare multiple metrics, how to export, how to email others your reports, how to navigate, how to use report views, how to segment and sort data

Installing the Code: Where to place the tracking code and how to verify installation.

After getting these basics down then you will learn how to interpret reports and analyze data, how pageviews and visitors are calculated, how Google tracks the time users spend on your site, the different kinds of traffic sources and how to identify which ones are the highest quality, how to interpret top content and landing pages, navigation summary, and entrance/exit paths.

After going through those tutorials (about 40 minutes worth of material) you can study the fundamentals (about 90 minutes) and then go into in-depth analysis (34 minutes). All-in-all you should be ready to be an expert in Google Analytics after watching around 2 hours and 45 minutes of video. Google even has a test that you can take to make sure that you absorbed the knowledge. If you missed anything then it will tell you what areas you may need to go back and refresh your memory on.

If you are a site owner then you should have some form of analytics installed on your site. This will allow you to track your user's data and make informed decisions about how to operate your site. Let's take a look at a few reasons that I use analytics with my Internet business:

Spotting Problems - Setting up analytics will allow you to easily spot bugs, mistakes, and oversights. The sooner you spot them, the quicker they are fixed and you are back on track.

Managing Campaigns - If you are using any sort of pay-per-click (PPC) then analytics is an absolute must, but beyond PPC you also need to monitor organic search for the results you are getting from certain keywords, or any other kind advertising that you are doing.

Spotting Opportunities - If you see trends in your analytics, like an increase in the number of people finding your site by a certain keyword, then you can start to ramp up your link building efforts for that specific anchor text.

Improving Conversions & Testing - What pages are most of your visitors finding first? What are they doing after they land on your site? Is there anything that you can do to drive them to your money pages or get them to sign up for your newsletter? How are you going to know the answers to any of these questions if you aren't tracking visitors?

Hopefully by now you understand just how important it is to have some sort of analytics program on your site, but which one to choose. There are several good providers out there, but Google Analytics is my preferred solution. Here is why:

Easy integration with Adsense and Adwords: This allows me to track my earnings from Adsense, and also allows me to search which keywords are profitable in my PPC campaigns.

E-Commerce Integration: I can track my sales back to specific pages, keywords, etc...

User-Defined Goals: What pages do I want my users to end up at? Easily customizable.

Reports: Dashboard is configurable and gives me a quick overview of the information I want to see, plus I can export the data in a variety of different methods.

Users: I can assign different people on my team access to different site profiles.

Up-Time: Google is tough to overload, so you know there is going to be near 100% uptime.

Custom Reports: Secondary segmentation and drill-down of the data.

Mobile Analytics: Tracking the phones and operating systems used.

Site Search: So I can see just what my users are looking for.

Event Tracking: Allows me to track clicks on outbound links.

The only real down side to Google Analytics is that the data is not in real-time. It's delayed by a few hours, but I look mostly at long-term reports so this isn't that big of a deal to me. It is easy to install, so I recommend getting signed up today and start using this great service so you can track your visitors and use the data to improve your site performance.

Auto Blog System X is the underground $100 million loop hole that made the creator, Rob Benwell, $221,555 last month on auto pilot! He just sat back and watched the money roll in.

The best part is that you can start from scratch, no website needed, no list, no product, NOTHING!

Who is Rob Benwell? He is an expert Internet marketer from the UK who has made millions of dollars online. He is the founder of Blogging to the Bank, which is a site that teaches people how to blog and how to make money off of those blogs. He has seen 70,000 customers sign up for the Blogging to the Bank program since it's release in 2006.

Now he wants to tackle automated blogging. Earlier this year he found out about a loophole that is generating $100 million per year for those lucky enough to know about it. You can start today and make serious money in a week.

How confident is Rob? The guarantee is that if you don't make $1,000 in your first week then he will pay you $100 out of his own pocket, plus give you a FULL REFUND for your purchase.

Of course there is some bad news. The product only costs $37 and over 120,000 people are being invited to sign up. However, Rob doesn't want a lot of competition for his customers so he's going to limit the number of copies that he sells to 250. That means it's likely to sell out, and sell out quickly. Don't miss out on this easy money making system.

All you have to do to sign up is click here to go to the Auto Blog System X site: click the add-to-cart button to download the system and start putting it to use today and you will have an extra $1,000 in your pocket by this time next week, GUARANTEE!

With the Auto Blog System X you will get the opportunity to purchase the 60-page ebook for $37. If you want to go beyond the basic text and ensure that you have the steps of the system down pat, then sign up for the $295 coaching program. You will receive live one-on-one coaching with a member of Rob's staff and gain access to the private coaching videos that actually show you how to get your automated blog started, all for only $295! If you don't want to do the one-on-one coaching, but still want the videos they will be available for $77.

Also available is the Auto Blog System X's free traffic training program. For $97 this program will show you how you can use free traffic sources to get visitors to your automated blog and start making your own passive income.

The launch in August 9th, 2010, but the program will not be available for long. Act fast or else miss your chance to set up recurring income from a blog that takes no effort on your part after the initial setup.

Is Auto Blog System X a scam? No. Some people do not like taking content automatically from RSS feeds for use on their site, but with enough content and enough PageRank, these sites can be very popular and make the owner quite a bit of money. For the low cost of this program it's definitely something worth checking out.

Did you know that 98% of people visit a website and then leave without taking any action at all? They don't place an order, they don't sign up for your RSS feed, nor do they sign up for your newsletter.

I know there isn't a lot of love for pop ups anymore, but you have probably lost these visitors anyway so why not take a chance to give them another opportunity to take action. Most have already decided to leave your site anyway! You can use the exit pop up code to do any of the following:

Give the visitor a special offer (a discount to the product or a free trial)

Remind them of the free giveaway you are offering to all subscribers to your list (you are building your list with incentives right?!)

Show them related products

And much more!

With the Exit Catcher Pro an unblockable exit pop up is triggered when your visitors click on the back button or when they try to close their browser. This gives the user a second chance to see your offer that is right in front of their eyes. Turn lost visitors into paying customers or subscribers the easy way!

Exit Catcher Pro is very easy to use and customize. You just enter the message you want the visitor to see, what target page you want them sent to, and what piece of audio you want to play. There are 10 audio files already loaded into the software for you to choose from.

I will be using this unblockable exit pop code to give my visitors discounts, downsell products, offer incentives for joining my list, showing related affiliate offers, and more.

This script can recapture 20% or more of your exiting traffic, so think about how much more money your site can make by using this exit pop up code!

If you are going to employ any kind of search engine optimization (SEO) into your marketing efforts then it is important to know what keywords your market is searching for. Keywords are nothing more than the terms that a user puts into the search engine to find what they are looking for. Don't know the best way to do keyword research? Don't worry as our Keyword Research 101 will bring you up to speed.

The search engine results pages (SERPs) are simply the best ways to get long-term targeted traffic to the landing pages you use to promote your affiliate products. These users are very targeted, they are looking for exactly what you are trying to offer them!

What are the keywords that you should be targeting? Well here are the three things that I look for in a good keyword that I'll detail out in a little Keyword Research 101:

Volume

This is obviously the most important. If you are sitting on the first page for a keyword that nobody is using then you won't get any traffic and thus, no sales. The more people that are searching for a keyword, the more traffic you will get to your site if you are high up in the results.

Specific and Targeted

If you are promoting an ebook that gets rid of acne then ranking for "how to get rid of acne" is a lot better than just "acne." If someone is looking to get rid of acne, then most likely they have a problem and they want to "get rid of it." They are ready to act, which means buy from you. When choosing a keyword think about the attitude of the searcher. Are they going to be in a buying state of mind?

Competition

It would be great to rank no. 1 for "auto insurance" but if you take a look results there are 21,500,000 competiting pages. With 13,600,000 searches each month for that term alone, it's no wonder there are so many people trying to get a piece of the pie. If you want to get to the top of these results then you are going to be in for one heck of a fight. Instead, I would focus on a less competitive term.

How to Find Keywords

The first step to finding keywords is to come up with a few terms on your own. Let's start with three in the online dating world. Off the top of my head I would go with "attract women", "approach women, and "meet women". Think broad right away. You won't be trying to take over these keywords right away, but will use them to build a more complete list.

Next go to Google's Keyword Tool and type in the phrases that you came up with. Google will give you more keyword ideas. Things like "how to get a girlfriend" and "how to approach women in a bar". More specific and more targeted. That is what we are going after here. Put all of this information in an excel spreadsheet that lists the term, search count, and competing pages. You want to compete with as few as pages as possible, so try to find less than 30,000 competing pages at first. The search count should be over 100 so you aren't wasting your time building pages based off of terms people aren't really searching for.

After going through this process you should have a pretty good keyword list built up.

In my opinion, the best way to make money online is through affiliate marketing. This is when you promote another companies products to earn a commission of the sale. If you are an affiliate then you will have plenty of tools to track your statistics (hops, number of sales, money earned, etc.) Each affiliate program will give you a sales link that is unique so that when you refer people to the merchant's site it will be tracked back to you.

There are a LOT of marketers out there who earn a full-time living off of selling other people's products. If you are new to the Internet marketing game then it might seems far fetched, but think about how many people you know shop online. Do they use eBay? Amazon? NewEgg? Plus there are countless others. That means that there are millions of potential customers for you to reach.

People are becoming more and more comfortable with shopping online as time passes. I personally wouldn't think about buying shoes online, but Zappos.com sold so many that Amazon recently purchased them for almost $1 billion!

With affiliate marketing you can get paid a number of different ways. Sometimes it's a flat fee and other times it's a percentage of the sale. I like percentages of products or services that are recurring. Take Aweber for example. I promote Aweber because they are far and away the best newsletter provider that I have found. They also pay a recurring commission. Since once you have a list with them you aren't going to want to use anyone else, I can get a % of the monthly fee for several years in the future. It works with hosting companies like HostGator too. Normally people don't switch hosts after they sign up, so you can keep earning passive income long after the first sale was made.

You don't even need that much money to get started! Sure they are some small fees for a domain name, hosting, site design, and newsletter provider. However, you don't need a store so you won't be paying monthly rent. You don't need employees (at least to start). You won't have overhead like utilities to worry about. The costs of starting your own business online couldn't be cheaper.

Some people are uncomfortable working only with commissions. These are the people that want a set income each month, working 8-to-5, traveling back-and-forth to their office and working for "the man." While I think you can make a set amount each month if you work hard enough, if you aren't comfortable with how hard you work determining how much you make, or you don't want the ability to go anywhere in the world and still be able to work, then this site isn't for you.

If you want more freedom and the possibility of setting your own income, then keep reading because I am going to do my best to teach you everything you need to know to reach your goals.

When people ask what I do I normally reply with a simple "Internet marketing." That's not a good enough reply for some though, as they want to know exactly what Internet marketing is. The truth is, Internet marketing covers quite a bit of ground and several different niche areas from affiliate marketing to social networks. There are tons of different ways to market something online, but they can all be boiled down to one thing: aligning people online with a product they want in order to earn money.

Of course, there are a lot of different ways to sell people a product that they want. It doesn't even have to be your product, you can earn a percentage of the commissions by selling products made by other people. It is very easy today to find products and services to promote in exchange for a piece of the action. Why are so many companies so eager to pay you to do their selling for them? Why not!? These companies use the reach of thousands of affiliates to target people that may not have ever heard of their products otherwise. Instead of investing time and resources in hiring someone to sell their product, they can pay a percentage to someone else to promote it without having to worry about wages, insurance, paid time off, etc.

You can also create and sell your own products too, but this takes time. Even if you do think that you have a really great, unique idea and want to spend the hours to put together a product doing affiliate marketing early on can help you test the market for demand and to build a list to market your product to.

List building is key to Internet marketing. If you have a list of lots of emails that you can send target product offers to, then you are going to make a lot of money online. If you don't have a list with a site like Aweber, don't worry. Continue reading through this site and you'll find tons of information on how to get started and then make the most out of the emails that you accumulate.

The number of people using social networking sites is tough to imagine. Let's take a look at Facebook alone, which now has over 500 million users worldwide. Over half of those members login to Facebook each and every day. The average user has 130 friends, spends more than two hours per month on the site, and is connected to 80 community pages, groups, and events.

It isn't just big, but the users are active as well creating 3 new pieces of content each day. 30 billions links, stories, blog posts, photos and other pieces of content are shared each month.

Facebook users are turning to their mobile devices more all the time. More than 150 million people are currently accessing the site though a mobile device and those users are more than twice as active as their non-mobile counterparts.

What all of this means is that there is a large audience waiting for you to tap into. Imagine having a Facebook fan page with over $1 million targeted fans. All of these users have expressed an interest in whatever product or service you are tied to. What if you sent an affiliate offer to these fans? Can you imagine how much money you could make off of just a single blast?

With our how to make money with Facebook series, we are going to offer you a step-by-step guide on how you can create fan pages with a large number of followers. Then we are going to show you how to take advantage of these fan sites so you can monetize them and make money off of the Facebook system. You won't need to use their pay-per-click advertising to do it either.

Our system works like this: create profiles and then learn how to get more Facebook friends, learn how to create facebook fan pages that people will join, getting your friends to become fans of your page, and then how to make money off of that fan page by using it to promote your sites and/or products.

Why Even Have a Facebook Page?

This is a question that you should be asking before wasting your time putting something together just to have it. What are the benefits? Here is a short list:

1. Fan pages are open to the public and open to the search engines to index. This means people can find you without actually having to be your fan.

2. Facebook allows pages to have a custom URL once there are a certain number of fans.

3. Pages can have message boards that allow users to interact

4. There are detailed traffic statistics covering the demographics of the fans of your page.

5. Facebook allows admins to message all of the fans, update the page's status which will show in each fans' live feed

All of those will help you increase your exposure and/or help you gain trust with potential customers.

Title of Your Fan Page

The first key in creating your fan page is to start with a good title. Don't make the title generic or a name that people have never heard of. You want to go for some name recognition, a belief or a cause, or some kind of gimmick that piggybacks off a current event or something in popular culture. You are targeting a certain niche or demographic with your page so make sure your title shows that.

Quality

You want quality with your fan page. Don't just create a fan page just to say you have one and then never update it, or just update it with non-stop spam offers. If you want people to join and stay fans of your page, or better yet, to recommend your fan page to their friends then you have to provide them with quality content. Sure you can broadcast special offers, but do it occasionally (about once per week) and not all of the time. Funny status updates keep people interested in everything else related to your fan page. If you deliver value such as solving a problem or offering current events then it is more likely the friends of your current fans will also join.

Admins

Create more than one admin for your page. This is important if you are going to get aggressive in trying to add people as friends in order to refer them to your page. If your account has problems, the page could disappear if you are the only admin and you have wasted a lot of time and effort gathering a group that you can't use.

Those are three quick tips in creating a fan page that people will actually join and that you can actually use to make money off of Facebook.
